Trump Takes Oath as 47th President

Donald Trump took the oath as the 47th U.S. president. Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath. Melania Trump held the Bible during the ceremony at the Capitol Rotunda on January 20, 2025.

In his speech, Donald declared a “new era of national success.” He said, “The golden age of America begins right now.” Trump promised the country would flourish and earn global respect. He vowed to stop any exploitation of the United States.

Trump also pledged to put “America first.” He promised to reclaim sovereignty, restore safety, and ensure fairness in the justice system. He vowed to end the misuse of government institutions. His focus, he said, would be on building a proud, free, and prosperous nation.

Trump acknowledged the nation’s challenges. He promised they would be destroyed by the country’s growing momentum. He also spoke about a crisis of trust in the government. Donald described his election as a mandate to reverse betrayals and restore faith, wealth, and democracy.

Donald assured that he would not target political opponents. He referenced his own claims of unfair treatment by the previous administration.

He concluded by expressing optimism for the nation’s future. Trump also assured Americans that the country’s revival had begun.
