Shanahan Hints on Dropping Out to Support Trump

Nicole Shanahan, running mate of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., said their campaign might drop out and support Trump to prevent a Kamala Harris presidency. On the “Impact Theory” podcast, Shanahan said they are seriously considering steps to keep those who undermined democracy from gaining power.

She outlined two options for the campaign. One is to stay in, form a new party, but risk a Harris-Walz presidency by drawing more votes from Trump. The other is to withdraw now, join forces with Trump, and explain the decision to their base. Shanahan responded to claims that Kennedy Jr. is a “spoiler candidate.” She noted that she invested “tens of millions of dollars” in the campaign to win the presidency, not to spoil it. “We wanted a fair shot,” she emphasized.

She accused the DNC of sabotage. Shanahan claimed they banned and shadow-banned them, kept them off stages, manipulated polls, used lawfare, and planted insiders to create legal issues. As a former Democratic donor, Shanahan expressed regret. She is “so disappointed” she ever supported the Democratic Party. Shanahan admitted the decision is difficult. “Is the risk of a Harris-Walz presidency worth staying in?” she asked host Tom Bilyeu.

The Washington Post recently reported that Kennedy Jr. reached out to Harris’ team about a Cabinet role. Shanahan denied this during the podcast, stating, “Those are the MSN [mainstream news] just taking something and spinning it in a way that makes, you know, their chosen political group look good. Fake news.”

The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. When asked for a comment, the Trump campaign pointed to the former President’s Tuesday interview with CNN, where he called Kennedy Jr. “a very smart guy.”
