School Games: Butula aiming rugby for title

School Games: Butula aiming rugby for the title. In the next school games in Mbale, Uganda, head rugby coach Shimenga Livondo of Butula High School claims his team is prepared to conquer East Africa.

Shimenga stated that since the completion of Term One Games in April of this year, they have invested in the appropriate training. For this reason, he thinks his team is prepared for the competition in Mbale, Uganda.

“You can understand where we are; we never stopped practicing after the national finals. Therefore, we are ninety percent ready for the games. We put  a lot of effort into reaching the standard necessary to win the games handily.”
In the national final, the previous champions fell to All Saints of Embu 12-10. However, Shimenga believes they are back stronger.
Shimenga continued, “We are working on our set pieces and our line out our wracks.”

The Kenyan delegates are grouped with St. Mary’s Kisubi, Makerere, and Kitondo, the reigning champions.

Coach Shimenga acknowledged that in order to easily win the group, they need to perform at their peak.
We must be flawless in every area and approach each game one at a time since it’s a difficult pool with strong teams. As I mentioned, one game at a time, we need to win every single minute of the matches we play,” he remarked.
August 18 is when the games start, and they end on August 27. Also read
