Who is added to the acting cabinet?
The new government featured two leaders of Students Against Discrimination, the organization that spearheaded the weeks-long protests.
Nahid Islam led The nation’s Telecommunications Ministry. And Nasif Mahmud led The Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Leading rights campaigner Adilur Rahman Khan, who served two years in prison under Hasina’s administration, leads the Ministry of Industries.
A retired brigadier general, an environmental lawyer, a former foreign secretary, and the president of Bangladesh’s central bank were among the other members of the new cabinet.
