Lamine Yamal's father reportedly stabbed

Lamine Yamal’s father was reportedly stabbed. According to multiple Spanish media sites, Mounir Nasraoui, the father of teenage Spain and Barcelona player Lamine Yamal, the incident took place late on Wednesday.

His status described as being in a serious but stable condition by the Spanish publication La Vanguardia.

The attack is being investigated by the Catalan police, who have not made any statements regarding the incident in the media.

It happened in the Mataro suburb of Rocafonda, around thirty kilometers north of Barcelona. This is where Yamal raised and currently resides with his father and grandmother.

La Vanguardia spoke with eyewitnesses who said that as Yamal’s father was walking his dog, a gang of guys encircled him. After they argued, they stabbed him. Later transported to the Can Ruti hospital.

At 16 years old, Yamal made history earlier this year as the youngest player in the history of the European Championship.

The 17-year-old Yamal scored a goal against France in the Euro semi-finals. And also Spain went on to win the championship match against England.
