Kamala Harris : Trump wants to take US 'backward'

Kamala Harris : Trump wants to take US ‘backward’. The leaders of the Democratic Party in the US Congress have endorsed Kamala Harris. This is her first campaign rally in Wisconsin following Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race.

This is after President Joe Biden withdrew his candidacy for re-election. Vice President Kamala Harris conducted her first campaign rally in Wisconsin on Tuesday.

In Milwaukee, the 59-year-old Democratic candidate charged that her presumed opponent, Republican front-runner Donald Trump, wished “to take our country backwards.”

“Which country do we want to live?

She questioned the people present, “Do we want to live in a country of chaos, fear, and hate. Or a country of freedom, compassion, and the rule of law?”

She restated what she said on Monday, recalling her days as a California prosecutor.

“I confronted offenders of all stripes,” Harris declared. “Women-abused predators. con artists who defrauded customers. cheaters who disregarded the law in order to benefit themselves. Hear me out: I am aware of Donald Trump’s personality.”

Regarding abortion, the vice president also attacked Trump. She claimed that the previous Republican president is in favor of a federal ban on the procedure.

“We trust women to make decisions about their own bodies and not have their government tell them what to do,” Harris stated. The famous Roe v. Wade ruling, which held that a woman’s right to an abortion. And is generally protected by the US Constitution, was reversed in 2022 by the conservative majority US Supreme Court. Due to numerous states’ restrictions on the medical practice, abortion is contentious political issue in the United States since Roe v. Wade was reversed.
