German police take a jaywalking swan family

German police take a jaywalking swan family. In the German state of Saxony, a family of swans they attracted so many complaints from drivers that they were placed under police watch. According to the police, they might have to move if they keep upsetting the traffic on busy roadways.

A family of swans in the eastern German state of Saxony risked their necks in traffic. Hence prompting police to launch an unprecedented traffic raid.

The two adults and five juvenile birds were observed by locals and drivers investigating some of the main streets in the town of Limbach-Oberfrohna.

The swans established their nests alongside a pond on the outskirts of the town. And soon the parents began to explore the area with their cygnets.

Regretfully, the birds began to bother other drivers. Others picking up some of the busiest streets in the town.

According to the Zwickau police department, “They kept wandering around to explore the area” on Sunday. “They created one or two traffic snarls in the process. Our colleagues gently and patiently guided the animals back to their native habitat.”

Police did, however, warn that if the family continued to cause problems, they could have to step in more forcefully.

“If the disturbances do not stop, the possibility of organizing a longer-term relocation to a less busy area will be considered.” the statement from the police warned.

Swans have already given Limbach-Oberfrohna’s emergency services some trouble.
