By DW France condemns Argentina footballers’ ‘racist remarks’
Following racial taunts thrown at French players by members of the Argentine football team following their victory in the Copa America competition. The French Football Federation (FFF) announced on Tuesday that it has made the decision to file a complaint with FIFA. The organization that oversees world football, and to pursue legal action.
“Condemned with the greatest firmness the unacceptable racist. And discriminatory remarks made against players of the France team,” stated FFF president Philippe Diallo in a statement.
He plans “to contact its Argentinian counterpart and FIFA directly to file a legal complaint. As racist and discriminatory remarks,” the FFF stated.
“Repeated behavior makes it even more unacceptable,”. Oudea-Castera posted on X, the previous Twitter platform. She asked, “FIFA: a reaction?”

Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez shared a video of the team bus following Sunday’s Copa America victory against Colombia in Miami on Instagram. The players appear to be reciting a song from Argentina’s victory over France in the 2022 World Cup.
The song contains homophobic remarks and criticizes Kylian Mbappe, the star striker for France. Additionally, French athletes with several nationalities, African ancestry, and French passports are specifically targeted by the disparaging cries.
Since the South Americans were eliminated by eventual champion France in the 2018 World Cup round of 16, Argentina and France have continued to engage in a fierce rivalry.France condemns Argentina footballers’ ‘racist remarks’
