We were here in 1994 when we sought to unite Africa and effect reconciliation. We are here now, as directed by the votes that our people delivered, to work together to ensure that we address the challenges that they face. And this we shall do”.

Pledges and Priorities

Ramaphosa pledged to work collaboratively with coalition partners to tackle pressing issues such as economic recovery, unemployment, and social inequalities. He emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in overcoming these challenges and moving the country also Africa forward .

Despite the coalition’s formation, the Progressive Caucus, including the EFF, United Democratic Movement (UDM), and Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC), expressed disappointment at being excluded from the coalition talks. Instead, they focused their efforts on securing roles like Speaker and Deputy Speaker in parliament.

A New Era of Political Cooperation
