Charles Njagua "Jaguar" Nominated as a Member of CAJ

On November 12, 2024, Felix Koskei signed a formal statement nominating Charles Jaguar and Dorothy Jemator Kimengech to government positions. Charles alias “Jaguar” has served as a member of parliament for Starehe constituency in Nairobi under the Jubilee Party. He had secured more votes than his competitors. They were, Steve Mbogo, Boniface Mwangi, and Mwaniki Kwenya. However, he only served for one term.

Jaguar, a well known musician is a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. He graduated  attained this from Mt. Kenya University. He has also served as a member of the Departmental Committee on Labour and Social Welfare.

Alongside this, President Ruto nominated Charles Orinda Dulo as the Commission’s Chairperson. Dulo has taught law at several universities, including Strathmore University’s School of Business, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) from the University of Nairobi, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.

This nominations shows the government’s commitment to appointing experienced and diverse leaders to key positions. Jaguar, with his background in both politics and music, brings a unique perspective to his new role, while Dulo’s extensive legal and academic experience positions him well to lead with expertise.

Together, these appointments implies a new chapter of leadership that combines public service, education, and professional experience to drive positive change.
